Control Segments
Instead of Control Points, we will be using "Control Segments". We have created Strava segments which cover the entirety of the long gravel sectors. You don't need to stop at Checkpoints, just ride and record on Strava or on your Bike GPS.
Some notes:
- When you finish the ride, please show our finish line volunteer your strava report, they will check that you completed all 5 gravel sectors.
- If there is a gate at the entrance, the segment starts at least 10m past the gate, so you can relax and get around the gate safely.
- If there is a gate at the exit, the segment will end quite far before the gate, so you have time to slow down and get around the gate safely.
- The final gravel section is also a popular hiking area, so the Control Segment only includes the uphill section, so you can ride slowly and carefully on the descent.

KOM/KOG QOM/QOG Competition
Instead of a KOM/QOM competition, we are changing to a KOG/QOG, "King/Queen of the Gravel". These Strava segments include not just the climbs, but also the flats and parts of the descents. Please show your segment times to the finish line volunteer.
- The KOG/QOG segments are the same as the "Control Segments".
To make it easier to find these segments at the finish line, plese "Star" the segments on Strava.
There are 2 KOG categories: Men's Gravel, Men's MTB,
There is 1 QOG category, Women's MTB and Gravel together. (If we get more women participants, we will make separate categories).
Scoring:
All segments:
1st - 10pts
2nd - 9pts
3rd - 8pts
...
10th - 1pt
In case of tie on points, the rider who finshed the course faster will be the winner.
